Vantage Studios, a Ubisoft company, has announced that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced sold 2 million copies on its first day following its release on July 9. The game not only topped the charts on Twitch but also achieved a peak of 99,451 concurrent players on Steam within 24 hours, marking the highest concurrent player count ever recorded for an Assassin's Creed title on the platform.

Critically, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has received positive reviews, boasting an 85% score on Open Critic and an 84% score on Metacritic. This makes it the highest-rated Assassin’s Creed game since the original Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Notable reviews include a 9/10 score from IGN, which praised the game as “bigger and better in all the ways that matter.”

Technical achievements have also been highlighted, with specialists like Digital Foundry calling it “one of the most effective remakes we've ever seen.” Martin Schelling, Head of the Assassin’s Creed Brand, expressed satisfaction with the game's reception, stating that bringing back Black Flag was a promise to the community's passion for Edward Kenway's adventures.

Rebuilt from the ground up using the latest Anvil engine, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced features enhanced visuals and enriched gameplay. Players can expect improvements in combat, stealth, parkour, and naval mechanics, along with new narrative content. Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, players will sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway, encountering legendary figures such as Blackbeard and Anne Bonny while navigating the ongoing conflict between Assassins and Templars.
