Blade, Loki, Deadpool announced for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls

In an exciting announcement, Takeshi Yamanaka, producer of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, revealed the final team trailer at EVO 2026. The new team, known as the Samurai Outriders, includes three unpredictable antiheroes: Blade, Loki, and Deadpool, joining Ghost Rider, who had already been introduced. This announcement has generated significant buzz among fans as they anticipate the gameplay and character dynamics in the upcoming title. The Samurai Outriders are characterized as a group of dark heroes who do not initially function as a cohesive unit. Their individual journeys and the evolution of their teamwork will be explored in the game's Episode Mode. Each character brings a unique combat style and backstory that adds depth to the gameplay experience. Blade, voiced by Imari Williams, is a human-vampire hybrid who has dedicated his life to hunting vampires. He wields the demon-slaying sword Muramasa, which can unleash its true power when activated. His aggressive combat style incorporates a variety of weapons, including machine guns and glaives, and features a unique ability called Heartstopper, which allows him to immobilize opponents. Loki, known as the God of Mischief, is voiced by Jason Spisak. He is attempting to shift from villainy to heroism in this title. His combat style relies on deception, utilizing illusions and erratic movements to confuse his opponents. Loki's skills include ice and magic-based projectiles, making him a tricky character to face in battle. Deadpool, voiced by Nolan North, is a Canadian mercenary with a chaotic fighting style that reflects his reckless nature. After undergoing a transformation through the Weapon X Program, he gained superhuman regeneration but also suffered mental instability. Deadpool's gameplay features a mix of guns, grenades, and swords, along with unique attacks inspired by classic fighting games, thanks to a game strategy guide he possesses. Additionally, a new battle stage called Asgard has been revealed. This stage is divided into five areas, including the Observatory and Bifrost Bridge, and is known as the Realm of the Gods in the Marvel Universe. As the launch date approaches, the development team is preparing for a global Open Beta on PS5 and PC from July 24-26, during which players can try out Blade as a playable character.
