DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO Launches Major DLC 'Super Limit-Breaking NEO'

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has announced the release of 'Super Limit-Breaking NEO,' the largest DLC for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. This new content is now available for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam®, with versions for Nintendo Switch™ and Nintendo Switch™2 set to launch at a later date.

Launched to critical acclaim in 2024, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO continues to expand its universe with this significant DLC, which introduces a plethora of new features and characters. Players can look forward to four new Episode Battles, new Extra Battles, and four all-new stages. Additionally, the DLC introduces a new Solo Mode called Limit Breaker Journey, allowing players to select a favorite character and enhance their abilities through challenging battles.

New Features and Characters

The Limit Breaker Journey mode is a standout addition, enabling players to strengthen their chosen characters over time by facing increasingly powerful opponents. This progression system allows for customization, ensuring that players can tailor their combat experience to their preferred playstyle.

In total, the DLC adds 33 new playable characters from across the DRAGON BALL franchise, including:

• DRAGON BALL: Mercenary Tao, Grandpa Gohan, General Blue, Ma Junior, Chi-Chi, Demon King Piccolo, Goku (World Tournament)
• DRAGON BALL Z: Mighty Mask, Supreme Kai, Uub (Kid), Zangya, Bardock (Super Saiyan), Chilled
• DRAGON BALL GT: Super 17, Vegeta (GT), Trunks (GT), Nuova Shenron (GT), Hell Fighter 17
• DRAGON BALL SUPER: Champa, Jaco, Cheelai

Gameplay Enhancements

In addition to the DLC, a free update is being released that introduces new gameplay mechanics and stage variants. The new mechanics include 'Sparking Boost,' which allows players to trade Skill Stock for a temporary attack boost, and 'Chain Blast,' a combo mechanic that enables players to switch to a reserve ally for continued assaults.

These enhancements aim to deepen the strategic elements of gameplay, providing players with more dynamic combat options and team-based strategies.
