A new update for Echoes of Aincrad has been released, fixing several gameplay issues and improving the overall experience.
Echoes of Aincrad has rolled out its latest update, version 1.0.4, aimed at enhancing gameplay by addressing multiple issues that players have encountered. Players are encouraged to install this update to ensure a smoother gaming experience.

Fixes Included in the Update
The update includes several important fixes:
- Resolved an issue in the subquest "Opportunity" where the Arc Boss "Thicket Visgo" could remain underground if hit by certain attacks during its digging animation.
- Corrected a display issue where the player character might not appear correctly during specific event scenes under certain equipment conditions.
- Fixed a problem in the quest "Original Sin" where the screen would remain black after completing the quest if a partner other than Iori, Zash, or Argo was selected.
- Addressed an issue where phase transitions might not occur properly after reducing certain enemies' HP to 0 and destroying their Break Marker.
- Fixed several other minor issues to improve overall gameplay.
Known Issues and Future Fixes
While the update resolves many issues, a known problem persists in the quest "Summons." After removing the barrier leading to the boss area, players may experience a black screen after the enemy introduction sequence. Normally, the screen should fade back in, allowing the battle to commence shortly after. Developers are currently investigating this issue and plan to release a fix once the cause is identified.
In the meantime, if players encounter this black screen issue, they can exit the game through their platform's system menu and restart it. Importantly, if players close the game before their HP reaches 0 during this issue, their save data will remain intact due to the Death Game Mode system.
