Once Upon A KATAMARI Launches on Nintendo Switch 2 with New DLC

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has announced that Once Upon A KATAMARI™ will be available on the Nintendo Switch™2 on October 8, 2026. The launch will coincide with the release of the Rolling LIVE Highlights DLC, which introduces quests and music inspired by the mobile title Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE™.

The new DLC will feature ten quests along with their iconic soundtracks, allowing players to engage with Earth's streamers, meet new cousins, and grow their Katamari to help the King stay ahead of trends and impress his fans.

In addition to the DLC, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Once Upon A KATAMARI will include a free update that introduces exclusive mouse controls, enhanced graphics, and a smoother framerate. Players who own the game on the original Nintendo Switch will have the option to transfer their save data to the new console, provided there is no existing save data on the system.

Once Upon A KATAMARI takes players on a journey through various historical periods, including the Jurassic Period and historic Japan, as they gather objects to restore the stars to the heavens. The game features a blend of memorable music and a new soundtrack, alongside customization options for The Prince and his cousins, and power-ups like the magnet that attracts nearby items. Additionally, a competitive multiplayer mode called Katamari Ball is included.
