Flamecraft Set to Launch on PS5 This Year, Demo Available Now

Monster Couch has announced that their cozy turn-based strategy game, Flamecraft, will be making its way to PlayStation 5 later this year. In the meantime, players can get a taste of the enchanting experience with a demo available today on the PlayStation Store.

The demo allows players to explore a selection of unique shops within the game’s whimsical town, interact with cheerful Artisan and Fancy Dragons, and engage in gameplay against bot opponents across three difficulty levels. Additionally, players can gather up to five friends for local multiplayer sessions.

In Flamecraft, players take on the role of a Flamekeeper, tasked with helping tiny Artisan Dragons build a thriving magical town. The gameplay revolves around placing dragons in shops to harness their magical abilities, delighting the townsfolk and enhancing the shopping district. Players will manage resources, play dragon cards, and create powerful combos using enchantments and the unique abilities of Fancy Dragons.

The game features three modes: solo play, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer. Solo Mode allows players to progress at their own pace while unlocking pieces of an original story that follows the dragons and townsfolk as they work towards building a lighthouse. Local multiplayer supports up to five players sharing a single console, while online multiplayer offers various matchmaking options.

To help new players get started, a fully narrated interactive tutorial is included, voiced by Becca Scott, guiding them through the game’s mechanics and introducing them to the vibrant world of Flamecraft. Completing the tutorial also rewards players with a small in-game bonus.
