Invincible VS: Universa and The Immortal Join the Roster on June 30

On June 30, Universa and The Immortal will join the roster of the 3v3 tag fighting game, Invincible VS, marking the start of Season 1. Universa, known as the Chosen of her people, is a cosmic warrior with a mission to save her dying world. She wields the Staff of Leadership, which allows her to absorb and unleash energy. In the game, Universa is designed as a highly technical Fighter, focusing on momentum and resource control. Her abilities grow stronger as her Boost Meter fills, and she can siphon energy from opponents, making them vulnerable to her attacks. A notable move is her “Entropy” super, which converts incoming projectiles into Boost gauge, providing strategic advantages against certain characters. The Immortal, another addition, is one of the oldest characters in the Invincible universe, with a mysterious origin. He has lived many lives and carries the weight of loss from battles, including the massacre of the original Guardians of the Globe. In Invincible VS, The Immortal is characterized as an aggressive Striker Fighter, excelling in close combat and relentless pressure. His unique Revive ability allows him to return to the fight once per match in a berserk state, enhancing his combat effectiveness. Players can also look forward to his distinctive walk-off animation, which reflects his iconic status. To celebrate these new characters, Skybound’s studio, Quarter Up, will be present at Evo Las Vegas from June 26-28, where attendees can play as Universa and The Immortal before their official launch. The event will also feature high-stakes tournaments, with the first-place winner receiving a life-sized Conquest Gauntlet trophy. Looking ahead, the 2026 roadmap for Invincible VS includes the launch of Season 1 on June 30, featuring Universa and The Immortal, along with an Endless Arcade mode and new cosmetics. Season 2 is set for October, introducing a new fighter and game mode, while Season 3 will conclude the year in December with another new fighter and arena.
