Nintendo Expands Classics Library with New Game Additions

Nintendo has announced exciting updates to its Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. This expansion allows players to dive into a selection of beloved retro games, enhancing the nostalgic experience on the Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Nintendo Switch systems.

New Additions to the Classics Library

Among the newly added titles is Fortified Zone, an action shooter originally released in 1991. Players can alternate between two characters, MASATO KANZAKI and MIZUKI MAKIMURA, as they infiltrate a fortress to thwart enemy plans. The game features four multi-room levels filled with intense action and a special SOUND BOY mode that lets players enjoy the music tracks outside of gameplay.

Another classic making its debut is Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. In this adventure, players take on the role of Wario, who is on a quest to steal a giant golden statue of Princess Toadstool from pirates. Players will navigate through various levels, collecting treasure and utilizing power-ups to enhance Wario's abilities.

Additionally, the role-playing game The Sword of Hope II is now available. Originally released in 1996, players will guide Prince Theo on a mission to uncover a mystery threatening his kingdom, using commands to interact with the game world and solve puzzles.

Game Boy Advance Classics

For Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, the library also includes Dr. Mario & Puzzle League. This two-in-one title, released in 2005, features engaging puzzle gameplay where players can eliminate viruses in Dr. Mario or match blocks in Puzzle League. The game offers various modes and settings, ensuring a versatile gaming experience.

Access to these classic games is contingent on having a Nintendo Switch Online membership, which is available in two plans. The specific titles accessible depend on the membership level, allowing players to choose the option that best suits their gaming preferences.
