TEKKEN 8 Welcomes Bob, the 'Onigiri Savior,' at Evo 2026

At Evo 2026 in Las Vegas, Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled a new trailer for TEKKEN 8, introducing Bob, the 'Onigiri Savior,' as the second DLC character for Season 3. Bob, who first appeared in TEKKEN 6, showcases his unique martial arts skills, which are described as almost physics-defying, and is set to join the roster this August.

Bob's backstory in TEKKEN 8 sees him recovering in a hospital after a confrontation with Bryan. Frustrated by the bland hospital food, he is inspired to create his own burger recipe, leading to the establishment of his successful burger chain, 'Bob's Onigiri.' This newfound success places him on a collision course with Kazuya Mishima, as Bob seeks to bring justice to his adversary.

Bob will be available to Season Pass 3 holders on August 19, 2026, in North America, with a wider release for all players on August 24, 2026. He joins previously released character Kunimitsu and upcoming additions Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma in the Season 3 lineup.

New TEKKEN! CARTOON Series Announced

In addition to Bob's reveal, Bandai Namco announced the launch of a new official spin-off series titled TEKKEN! CARTOON, set to premiere on July 10, 2026. This animated series will feature bite-sized episodes focusing on five beloved characters: Paul, Yoshimitsu, Kazuya, Alisa, and Kuma. The episodes will showcase these fighters in a cute animation style, accompanied by catchy original music.

TEKKEN World Tour Updates

During the event, Bandai Namco also crowned Arslan Ash as the champion of the TEKKEN 8 tournament at Evo 2026. This victory sets the stage for the upcoming TEKKEN World Tour Finals, which will take place from January 14-17, 2027, at Evo Singapore 2027.
