MAVRIX 1.0 is now live, introducing a head-to-head multiplayer mode and new competitive features for players on Xbox Series X|S.
The full 1.0 release of MAVRIX has officially launched today, bringing with it a brand new head-to-head multiplayer mode that allows players to compete directly against each other on various trails. This update enhances the competitive experience for riders, featuring race commentary from renowned Red Bull commentator Rob Warner.
MAVRIX is available exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and is also included in Xbox Game Pass from Day One. The game boasts a vast open world that spans 100 square kilometers, offering over 30 official trails, technical challenges, and freeride options. Players can choose between two types of trails: racetracks, where speed is key, and slopestyle trails, where riders are scored based on their ability to perform tricks.
During the early access phase, which ran from July 2025 to July 2026, players competed individually, with their times and scores ranked on global leaderboards. However, the 1.0 launch introduces a dynamic head-to-head competition mode, allowing up to five riders to matchmake on any trail. Friends can join together at the start or accept invites from other players, creating an engaging multiplayer environment.
In the racing mode, the objective is straightforward: be the first to reach the bottom of the trail. Players can choose to view the race from first-person, third-person, or even utilize a rear-facing camera for a unique perspective. The game features two bike types—downhill and enduro—each with distinct advantages. Downhill bikes offer more suspension and stability at high speeds, while enduro bikes are lighter and provide superior acceleration.
Live race positions are displayed in real-time, and players can restart from the last checkpoint if they crash, ensuring that the race continues without interruption. In slopestyle head-to-head, the trial is divided into sectors, and the player who wins the most sectors is declared the champion. All players start each sector simultaneously, allowing for thrilling displays of skill and trick execution.
In addition to the head-to-head mode, MAVRIX 1.0 introduces MAVRIX Cups, which will take place every weekend. These standalone events feature their own exclusive leaderboard and offer rare cosmetic prizes that can only be earned through participation in the Cups. This new competitive structure is designed to provide players with ongoing challenges and rewards.
With the launch of MAVRIX 1.0, players can look forward to an enriched gaming experience that captures the essence of mountain biking. The introduction of head-to-head competition and weekend events is expected to elevate the excitement for both new and returning players.
