The Open Beta for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to run from July 24 to 26 on PlayStation 5 consoles and PC. This event invites both newcomers and seasoned players to step into the arena with their favorite Marvel heroes.

To help players get started, a comprehensive beginner’s guide has been released. It covers essential aspects such as character selection, basic controls, combos, and team mechanics. Players are encouraged to choose characters based on their ease of use rating, with Captain America, Ms. Marvel, and Wolverine highlighted as beginner-friendly options.

Getting Started with Gameplay

New players can begin their journey in the game through the Startup Battle mode, which provides step-by-step tutorials. This mode is divided into two sections: Basics, focusing on individual character actions, and Assemble, which introduces team-based mechanics. Players familiar with fighting games can skip the Basics section and jump directly into Assemble.

Learning basic combos is crucial for dealing damage effectively. The game features a Link Attack system that allows players to perform simple combo sequences by repeatedly pressing the same attack button. For example, players can chain Light attacks into Skills or Super Skills, setting the stage for more complex strategies.
